Download From Betty's Books
Betty's Books is a collection of free, downloadable books appropriate for English as a Second Language beginning readers.
Some are original A.H.A.V.A. content and some are from other internet sources (with permission of course).
All you have to do is download the file, print it out and fold the pages over (see video below) and give it to your ESL reader to read!
How to Make a Betty Book
READ!
Staple the spine 3 times. Cover with scotch tape if you wish. Presto! You have a book!
Insert the middle pages into the title page (the fold will now stick out towards you).
Fold all the other pages in half together in the other direction (see video). Take them out and stack them up in order.
Separate the title page from the stack and fold it in half.
Print out the pages (one sided).
Choose a book from Betty's Booklist & download it.
